The Best Video Platforms to Conduct Interviews

on May 8, 2020 in Tips for Hiring Managers

Thanks to social distancing and stay-at-home orders related to COVID-19, many companies have had to switch to video interviewing. Even after restrictions begin to ease in the future, however, it is likely many companies will continue the practice of video interviewing as it protects staff and candidates, saves time and expands geographic reach.

Here are some of the best video platforms you can use to conduct interviews.

VidCruiter

This was one of the first platforms built specifically for video interviewing. It includes digital interview guides, scheduling automation and offers 24/7 support with an average of a 1 minute response time. VidCruiter also integrates with many ATS platforms.

Spark Hire

This platform is designed for the needs of small and midsize businesses but their client base does include major corporations. Spark Hire is easy to use and can be up and running quite quickly. Customers report that Spark Hire has saved them time while boosting their brand by providing an exceptional experience for candidates.

Interviewstream

Interviewstream offers options like one-way interviews to live interviews and autoscheduling. The company claims that its software has helped customers cut down time-to-hire by 56% and speeds up time spent reviewing resumes by 60%. We cannot independently verify those claims, but they are worth exploring for larger companies.

Jobvite

Jobvite video offers on-demand video screening and has a direct integration with major Applicant Tracking Software platforms, which helps keep hiring teams organized and on target. Jobvite’s software also makes it easy to share a candidate’s recorded responses with other members of the team.

Zoom

Zoom isn’t an interviewing platform, but it does have features that make it worthwhile for interviews. It’s simple to use, most people are familiar with it right now, and it offers closed captioning and transcription, as well.

Google Hangouts

This can be the most affordable option for companies just getting started with video interviewing, but it doesn’t offer the same features as other platforms made specifically for the hiring process. Google Hangouts can be a good way to dip your toes in while you research other platforms.
